One of my favourite trends right now is wooden invitations! If you can afford to splurge a little, or you’re having a smaller wedding, these are the perfect touch!

There are very few things better than a dance floor, festoon lights and your loved ones surrounding you on your wedding day. This is such a fun rustic reception! You can feel the love bouncing off the page!

I love Lauren Conrad (anyone an original Laguna fan?! Hello? I know you’re out there) and her DIYs are the best! This stunner was done for mother’s day, but I think you can use it for father’s day too! Change the gold to black, and use a couple of cool coffee puns…
"I love you a latte"
"Coffee before talkie"
"A little coffee a day keeps the madness away"
"Life begins after coffee"
Happy DIYing xx
This gorg bohemian wedding featured on vsb fave Green Wedding Shoes is just to die for! Don’t you love it! The wildflower style bouquets and boho hair styles have me all aflutter.

I am so excited that one of my new friends has just launched her own business as a make-up artist in Canberra, Australia!
Katrina has years of experience in the make-up industry, most recently working at Napoleon Perdis and Make Up For Ever. She believes in making every woman look and feel confident and beautiful inside and out, and she does an amazing job at it!
Finding a make-up artist was one of the scariest vendors for me - what if they didn’t listen to me, or made me look orange, or gave me crazy bright eye shadow?! I’m a red head, I can’t pull that off! Finding Katrina was such a huge relief - every time she’s done my make-up she’s listened to what I’d like, highlighted my best features, and made me feel totally comfortable every step of the way. She has this amazing ability to spend time making you look that little bit fancier than usual, but still totally like you.
Her website just went live, and you should check it out! Head over to www.katrinasulit.com and browse all her stunning looks.
ps. The stunner in the featured pic is by beautiful friend Steph! She moonlights as one of my gorgeous bridesmaids
One of my favourite designers is New Zealand based Sally Eagle - she makes the most exquisite gowns. This is ‘Camille’ from her 14/15 collection.
Camille is the collection’s quintessential garden-wedding dress. The all-over chantilly lace is soft and light to move with the dress. Coupled with the scalloped hemline, the lace gives the dress a stunning yet carefree appearance, while the shaped bodice ensures the dress remains fitted and secure.
We love Sally Eagle! Checkout her stockists here.
ps. I’m going white dress trying on tomorrow! Unfortunately the only Sydney stockist of Sally Eagle is closed for a trunk show, but I will find a way to try one of her gowns on!
The Wooden Trunk featured a wedding recently that had this gorgeous take on a ‘sit anywhere’ sign! I think I might steal it for my own day! Plus, bring on an A-Frame means you can use it at any venue, even those which have restrictions about sticking things in the ground (yes, I have discovered that that is actually a thing).

My sister-in-law to be and I DIY’d this Love Story chalkboard - I think it turned out pretty well! That’s my gorgeous fiancé modelling it!

A navy suit, a bow tie, an incredible boutonniere, a bride in lace - I think this picture is perfection! So exited that Sean said he wants to wear a navy suit!

Struggling to think of a favour, and have a green thumb? Why not add a personal touch by giving your guests little plants to take home! Especially a cute idea if you’re having an intimate ceremony and reception.
